The Political Parties Fund is funded from 0.3% of national revenue, set aside annually and disbursed via ORPP. It is the largest single source of legal, traceable political money in Kenya — and the easiest to audit because every shilling flows through a single account at the National Treasury.
ORPP administers allocations after audited party membership figures and the most recent election results are applied through the PPF distribution formula. The calculator page shows scenario modelling against sample national-revenue values and vote-share inputs — swap to gazetted numbers when ORPP publishes the cycle’s amount.
Parties must meet eligibility criteria — including a minimum vote-share threshold — before receiving any PPF disbursement. See the ORPP circular for the active year for the operative percentage.
